Home phone number

I have just signed up with plus net, I wanted to keep my old land-line number, but when I got notification they gave me a new one. I've had my old land-line for years. How do I go about keeping it, as been into my account and can not find any information on the subject. If can't keep number I will have to cancel the order.

Ring the Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and tell them without delay.

Re: Home phone number

While the OP has called in @Baldrick1, it's not the Customer Options Team who would deal with this matter. Their role is solely new sign ups and contractual based queries. This matter falls under our Provisioning department's realm.

@spanner19, with the orders completing in a few days, rather than cancelling them down and replacing them, we're allowing the orders to complete with a new number, and will then be placing an order to renumber your line.

With the range holder being BT, this shouldn't be an issue. Smiley

Re: Home phone number

@adam945

My apologies and thanks for the Heads Up.

In the past you were cancelling then replacing with new orders. Hence my referral to this number.

I’m reluctant to advise anyone to ring 0800 432 0200 if it can be avoided as reports on this forum reminds me of when I was a nervous new apprentice being sent to the stores with a requisition for a long “weight”.  I only gave up waiting for it when it was time to go home!

Re: Home phone number

Yeah I understand @Baldrick1, when we referred to cancelling and replacing orders, we mean the actual orders to take over the line, this doesn't require a new account, which is why it's a Provisioning matter Smiley

Let me know if you have any questions.
