Re: Full Fibre offer

Hi bmc,

phone number on my account page is my mobile number and when I put that into the checker it’s tells me it’s an invalid number.

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6 Do you have/have you had a working landline phone?

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6

This gets wierder by the minute.

Back to another question I asked. Exactly what product are you on as per your Members page?

If you are on FTTC or ADSL then your account is controlled by a phone number which is associated with the line. It must be there somewhere though as I'm on Full Fibre I can't check.

Couple of other things to look at. As previously asked what does OpenReach say for your Address - www.openreach.co.uk

Using the Address version of the Checker have a look at a few of your neighbouring properties and see what they say. You're looking for WBC FTTP

Re: Full Fibre offer

@jab1

I know the OpenReach database gets things wrong from time to time but as far as I can remember I've never heard of it saying Full Fibre is available when it isn't.

The explanation given by the Wizard seems plausible.

I did have one I’ve just put that into the checker and it says,

 There is no data available. This may be because it is not a BT line or it is a number which has been moved to an IP Voice service. We advise using the address to check availability instead.

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6 I'm getting a little confused here - does the phone allow outgoing/incoming calls if you connect it to the master socket? Have you previously been with Virgin?

Hi Brian,

Openreach checker results attached, this is also valid for my immediate neighbours, I can’t check my account product info as PB website keeps timing out again, but I’m sure I have FTTC I will check later and update.

Sorry for the confusion, I used to have a landline and when I switched from Openreach to Plusnet we opted out of the landline as we didn’t use it.

Re: Full Fibre offer

OK, understood - you have a SOGEA connection, which explains why a check using a phone number fails.

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6

Right, things are beginning to become a bit clearer.

If, as stated by @jab1  you moved to a SOGEA account when you joined PN then you'll not have a phone number. If you look under Manage Account on your Members page you may well find a BBEU number. I think (but not entirely sure) this identifies your account to PN and the OR systems.

On the Phone Checker page try your BBEU number under "Access Line ID" and see what it says.

Edit : Just tried my account BBEU - it didn't work

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6

Have a look at the following and find your UPRN number. This is the number allocated by your local council when the property was approved for building but before a Post Code is allocated to it. It's used by utlilites to plan any work required in building.

https://www.findmyaddress.co.uk/

The UPRN works on the Phone Checker - just tried mine.

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6

Worked fine for me. Try again tomorrow (or after 10pm).

I was about to post saying I should have said to also obtain your neighbours UPRN and also try that to see if there's a difference in the Checker results. As before, you're looking for WBC FTTP

Re: Full Fibre offer

@Robin6 Or just pick your neighbours address on the BTw address checker site: https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

Finally managed to log into PN and things have changed on the upgrade and offers page from yesterday see attachment, if I saw that instead of the full fibre offer I would not have bothered completely different but doesn’t explain the full fibre offers I’m getting
