@Matthewf27 I would suggest you talk to the installer(s) on the day - they are usually fairly helpful, within reasonable limits.

Hi, i have a date of openreach who have been and survived my property for install. Only after i signed the agreement i have noticed the location of the box on the wall outside. However it would be better and near a socket if it was 3m from the location they have suggested. No powerpoint at this location they have said and they haven’t been in the house.
Ah. This sounds possibly like the issue I had after the external box (Consumer Splicing Point) was installed. But it turned out to be a needless concern (in my case, at least). What I hadn't realised is that the CSP itself does not need to be near any power point, that only applies to the internal ONT box. Another fibre cable is run from the CSP box to wherever on an outside wall it enters the premises, where the ONT is installed inside the property. It is only here - at the internal ONT - that needs to be within 1 metre of a power point. I have heard that this fibre run, from the external CSP to the internal ONT, can be up to 10 metres if needed.

Hi Matthew, should not be a problem, be nice to your installer and hopefully he'll be nice to you! Our overhead cable runs 20m from a pole to our gable wall. Installer used our old copper line to pull the new fibre up to the gable, then into the loft where he installed the splice box on a rafter. As all the loft is not floored and they can't walk over joists for H&S reasons, he let me run the fibre some 18m towards the far end of the house and down through our office ceiling, where he trimmed off the black outer casing and ran the white inner casing down the door frame to the power socket in the corner. A very neat job which might give you an idea for your own requirement -- just have tea, coffee and biccies at the ready!
