Cease on the line ended yesterday, when will my broadband activate

I recently purchased my first home and on the 11th September I signed up for Full Fibre 500 and was originally told that my activation date would be 25th September. On both 22nd and 24th I received texts and emails telling me a cease on the line put on my the previous owners ISP (BT I believe) will be delaying my activation until after the cease has completed on 13th October.

It's now 14th October and I haven't had any kind of update or information on when my broadband will be activated. I just need to know how long it will take for us to be able to have wifi in our home please.

Welcome to the forum, @arosycrumpet I am guessing that this is an FTTC connection? If so, I would say 3 - 5 days, but you can always call Plusnet Support for a (hopefully) better idea.

@arosycrumpet

Check to see if there is any information on your account.

If there's not, the quickest way will be to phone Support - the order probably needs to be re-submitted.

A staff member may pick this thread up but there's no guarentee.

They will likely have replaced the order today and are waiting confirmation of a date from Openreach.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Thanks for the replies! Yes it’s an FTTC connection and the link has helped somewhat as I saw they updated my “Question” about the cease on the line this morning and it says that the Question is now off hold and I should receive an update soon so finger crossed I hear something asap
