Wrong billing again

Hi plusnet, fed up of being on hold on phone, can only talk to a boy which is a waste of time so last resort is this method.
Once again you are billing me wrong, some bizarre reason my next monthly did is £26.53, I renewed with you in early April after a previous screw up and agent decided that it would be honoured at £21.50 or £21.99 forgot which, but now you plan to take £26.53 for May!!!! Why, why , why???? Sort this out please……

Re: Wrong billing again

Is anyone from plusnet going to resolve this for me? I understand about cpi each march, but I renewed via the phone with an agent for what I believed to be the monthly price I have already mentioned…..

Re: Wrong billing again

What was the date of the agreement?

If that was prior to 31st March 2022, then it will be subject to the price increase due on 31st March 2022.

If it was on or after 1st April, then the price agreed stands.

Re: Wrong billing again

Yes, I did read that, but there is potential for ambiguity - is early April when the change started or when you agreed the contract?

Re: Wrong billing again

That’s probably where the technicalities are going to be used. When I called up in early April to tell them I was paying too much, they agreed and asked me if I wanted to start on a 12 or 18 month contract. Obviously I said 1month so I know what I am paying for that period. So I would expect the start date of 13th April to be the start date, which is what it says in account details… there was no mention of paying £26.53 anywhere in there..

Re: Wrong billing again

Let's be fair - you'd have to with a more expensive ISP if this was going to be cleared up over a weekend.

Hi there,

I'm really sorry to see your bill's higher than you expect.

I've dropped you an e-mail Here which I hope helps clarify things but feel free to get back to me if you've got further queries.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
