The VAT rate will be 20% as @jab1 said, but you may have difficulty reclaiming VAT without a VAT receipt. If you have an accountant fill in your VAT returns most will be reluctant to reclaim VAT without a receipt as any subsequent HMRC audit will likely create problems. If you complete your own VAT returns then you can claim what you like - but the hassle of dealing with a HMRC audit will be yours.
