Sadly another nail in PNs coffin.
Not the same, but I use free No-IP.com for anything that relies on a fixed ip. It is only any good if you run the updater alongside to update any new ip given after connection loss. the IP's aren't as sticky as some people seem to say. I get a new IP after every reboot/ loss, whereas on Sky I had the same dynamic ip for 3 years.

Hi @Markuk the option for new static IPs was removed in October it looks like, those with existing static IPs will remain unaffected.
@JordanTA You say the Static IP option was removed in October, to me it looks like that is not correct. There are several posts on the forum where customers have successfully got static IPs allocated in December, for instance this one ....
Maybe it depends on who you speak to, I wonder who the very nice person is.
@Townman It's unfortunate that the Static IP option is no longer available for those that wanted one for a bargain one off payment.
This post from today (although awaiting confirmation from the OP) seems to contradict the ending of Static IPs.

I guess its possible the actual functionality of adding it was still available to the call centre guides over the phone, but just going off the information we can find it should have been removed in October. Potentially this wasn't a set in stone date.
Afraid static IP is no longer something we offer anymore.
