Static IP Address & Ping Question on FTTP

Plusnet has upgraded my parents from SOGEA 80/20 to Full Fibre 160/30 successfully. But, I was surprised the static ip address remain the same on FTTP as it was before on SOGEA. I thought if you change to FTTP as part of upgraded from SOGEA, you will lose Static IP Address?

Full Fibre speed test with 11ms ping: https://www.speedtest.net/result/a/11496090678

I thought Full Fibre are very low ping? Why it still on 11ms as it was the same as before on SOGEA.

@goldenfibre

The static IP Address is accountname based NOT connection.

Was the speedtest from a wired device?

Maybe consider setting up a thinkbroadband BQM

Re: Static IP Address & Ping Question on FTTP

@goldenfibre  Static IP address is linked to the user account so a change to FTTP  does not change the address
