Service ending soon

I've received an email that my Plusnet service is ending soon. However, when I try to do anything about it, I get the message

"We’re updating your broadband service
Please wait until we’ve finished updating your service before making another change."

I'm not aware of any updates – how do I simply cancel my service?

@bob774737 If you simply 'cancel your service', you will lose internet access. I suggest you contact Customer Support and ask them to remove the flag, and then decide whether you renew with PN or move to another ISP.

@bob774737

Can you give us a bit more information about your situation.

What do you actually want to do about your PlusNet service? Have you already applied to another provider to transfer your service, or did this email arrive out of the blue, and did they give a reason for ending your service? How much longer do you have to go on your current PlusNet contract? Do you currently have a landline with PlusNet?

Do you mean that your current contract is ending soon, rather than the service, which will continue at the higher out of contract price if you don't renew?

Either way, ring in on 0800 013 2632 and talk to the Customer Options Team  .

Re: Service ending soon

I saw this “we’re updating your service” message happen for someone for a whole month (they were only in the middle of changing their phone service for one without a voice minutes bundle).

Once that change passed the billing date, it cleared the way for other changes or orders. But if you phone PlusNet’s customer service / customer options (see above) then they’ll be able to sort things out pretty quickly.
