Reward Card

My service was activated 21/09/2026, I understand I should expect an email with details of how to activate my Reward Card within 10 working days (expected on or before 05/10) and that I should receive a physical card within 30 days of activation.

Can anyone advise how long they waited to receive initial email please?

Re: Reward Card

In same boat. My Plusnet went live on 17th September 2026 and I am still waiting for the reward card email. Does seem a little disconcerting that you have to wait 10 working days for it which will likely mean you fall outside the 14 day cancellation period. Funny that.

Although I am still waiting for the "speed to stabilize" too, which can take two weeks. Done a few speed tests over the weekend, cabled via Ethernet, and the lowest I got was 27MB/s, followed later in the day by a download speed of 50 something MB/s and an upload speed of 60 something MB/s. Not really how I pictured Plusnet 900. My switch from 90MB BT internet was supposed to be faster.

Please let me know if your reward card issue gets resolved and are you getting the speed you signed up for?

Re: Reward Card

VDSL (i.e. FTTC and part-fibre, the “up to 80” copper one) is supposed to be pretty swift at settling into its best working line speed. Certainly it seems to adapt far quicker than ADSL would. After a day or so you should already be seeing the VDSL new normal.

But, @doubtsalready1, if you’ve got full fibre (FTTP) then you should get your full contracted speed pretty much as good as straight away.

That’s as-measured from the ONT on the wall, and when connected to a laptop/computer directly with an Ethernet cable, of course. Which it sounds like you are.

Many people have been disappointed by their in-house WiFi being a limiting factor to getting the full speed they bought. Perhaps there’s some other fault somewhere for you, @doubtsalready1 .

Re: Reward Card

Hi @doubtsalready1

Thanks for coming to the community.

Can you check your junk/spam folder for the reward card email as this is showing as sent?

If you continue to experience low download speeds, you can find details for reporting this to us in our Plusnet Report A Problem help page
