Request to Upgrade to Plusnet Full Fibre (FTTP) + Clarification on Phone Number Porting
Hello,
I would like to upgrade my current Unlimited Fibre Extra service to Plusnet Full Fibre (FTTP) (Full Fibre 145).
Could you please:
- Place an order for Full Fibre at my address
- Arrange the required Openreach installation/activation
- Keep my existing FTTC service active until the FTTP service goes live
- Confirm the monthly price and whether any equipment will be sent to me
I also need clarification on the phone line and number porting process.
My understanding is:
- Plusnet Full Fibre is a broadband‑only service with no phone line
- Once FTTP is live, my existing copper phone line will remain active until I choose to port the number (I'd aim to do this in a few weeks)
- I can then port my landline number to a VoIP provider (e.g., Sipgate Basic)
- Porting the number after FTTP activation will only cease the phone line, and will not affect my new FTTP broadband service
Could you please confirm that this is the correct and safe process for keeping my broadband active while migrating my phone number to VoIP?
Thank you.

A couple of quick answers.
You must either phone PN or use the website to place your Full fibre order.
When FF goes live it cancels your phone service immediately. You only have 30 days to port the "ceased" number.

Firstly, Plusnet will not accept an order via the forums, you will either need to login to the member centre and order online or call in to order over the phone.

Correct
- Once FTTP is live, my existing copper phone line will remain active until I choose to port the number (I'd aim to do this in a few weeks)
Incorrect, your phone line and FTTC broadband will cease when the FTTP is installed.
- I can then port my landline number to a VoIP provider (e.g., Sipgate Basic)
You have 30 days after the phone is ceased to port to a voip provider
- Porting the number after FTTP activation will only cease the phone line, and will not affect my new FTTP broadband service
The phone line is already ceased and thus porting cant affect the FTTP

Do you already have a Sipgate basic account as it is no longer offered to new customers.
If not, A&A are great at porting in a ceased numbers and have low monthly rental.
