PlusNet, alongside several other ISP's, have gone from an annual price increase based on inflation + 3.9% to a fixed fee of £3.00
This is applied every March to new contracts.

Note that if you renew now your new contract will start almost immediately (usually the next day) and not in December when your existing contract runs out.
Also you need to check what your new contract includes as some options no longer include the landline phone if that is important to you. If you your existing contract includes the phone then you may be able to keep it as long as you renew like for like and do it by calling the Customer Options Team at Plusnet - the thinking of leaving option on the menu when you call.

Was the offer and blurb from Plusnet themselves or a third party? I have never heard of a Plusnet contract that has a reduced price for three moths then a jump to a much higher price.
Have you looked on your Member Centre (I think it is the second tab in Offers) to see what is available to you. Note that these offers vary quite frequently and todays price might be better or worse than tomorrows!. Alternatively ring the Customer Options Team to see what they can do - there should be no early termination charges if you are within your final three months of your existing contract. If you have prices from other ISPs you may be able to get a similar deal from Plusnet or at least a reduced price.

I believe it is.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Phone the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632
£43 appears to be your out of contract price. You'll move onto this automatically if no new contract is in place.
