Promotional Discount Added

Can someone please explain why the promotional discount has been added to my bill.

Fibre-£22.73      

Fibre £22.73

Fibre £30.99

Promotional Discount £22.73

Discount-£5.13

Discount-£7.00

Total  £41.59

Contract states Fibre 30.99. Discount 7.00 for 24 months. Total £23.99.

The billing system works in mysterious ways its wonders to perform. 

My assumption is that you have reached the end of your £23.99 p.m. fixed term contract so are being charged the 'out of contract rate' of £41.59 p.m. 

Can  you check your contract end date?

@billtait101 my guess is taht you have re-contracted and the new contract started mid way through your normal billing period.

Since you pay a month in advance, when the new contract starts , any advance payment for the remaining billing period is refunded. Where that payment includes a discount , that is a negative refund i.e a charge.

If you post the bill breakdown with the dates applicable for each item then we'll be able to confirm.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

My previous contract auto renewal request was cancelled due to an admin error and my internet was disconnected. When the internet was reconnected I was contacted by a billing Plusnet rep and told I will be credited due to my internet being disconnected and my contract renewed. This is my first bill for my new contract and there was no mention of me paying a months payment in advance.

All billing is and always has been monthly in advance.

When the internet was reconnected I was contacted by a billing Plusnet rep and told I will be credited due to my internet being disconnected and my contract renewed.

In that case, I suggest you call in and speak to someone to explain the bill
