Re: Plusnet change to EE ?

I know you shouldn't have to, but in this case it might be best to put a one-touch switch through as late as you can and then set the transfer date as late in the day as you can.

You will possibly have a small ETC to pay, but if you don't want to move to EE for a few weeks, that might be the least worst option.

Re: Plusnet change to EE ?

That's an interesting suggestion. I've a currently open ticket with EE asking them not to implement the new contract. I've told them that I don't want to join them. Surely I must have some kind of consumer rights in all this? If EE don't respond positively I might try asking PN to cease my contract right now and take the hit on leaving early. It's very tiring to have to go through all this.

Also worth noting that some providers may offer to reimburse your early termination fees, e.g. Vodafone where you can apply for a credit on your account equivalent to what you have been charged up to £200 if you take out a 24 contract with them.

Righty-ho, watch this space 😉

I've just got through to PN cancellation and terminated my contract with effect from today and it only cost me £23. They should hand the line back to OpenReach.
Fingers crossed.
