@Barbara316 When I received my first email, it said that they would begin the transfer if they didn't hear back from me within 30 days. A reminder was sent 2 weeks later.
In my case, I received my email on 2nd April, then a reminder on 16th April. I heard nothing more until 2nd July (13 weeks after the first email), when I received 2 emails from EE telling me my transfer date and what broadband package & phone package I would be on. The router was posted on 6th July & my service was transferred on 20th July.
So assuming you got your first email on 14th July, and if your timescale is similar to mine, you might not hear from EE till around 13th October. I haven't seen any other timescales from other members, so don't know if mine is typical.

Blessings to you @RadioFox thank you for your reply and sharing your experience with your messages about your move from Plusnet to ee
I will try to remember to keep you updated with my experience
That email
It was very confusing to me as I am not wanting to change the phone in the home
I like my landline phone and I would like to keep it working
Forgive me I do not understand why we have to remove our landlines phone if we want to sign up for fibre Internet
Maybe it is different lead or cable connections
Forgive me for rambling on here

Unfortunately the old telephone network supplied through the BT/Openreach white box that you currently plug your phone into will be discontinued within the next few months. Instead, you will be supplied with a new router from EE that has a phone socket on the back of it. This is known as Digital Voice. This means that your router has to be powered all the time to keep your phone connected. Also, if you lose your internet connection for any reason, or suffer a power cut, your landline phone will stop working. We have no choice in the matter unfortunately, as the old copper phone system is becoming less reliable, and harder & expensive to maintain.
As some reassurance, my transfer went smoothly, without any problems. I didn't have to do anything except change over the router on the transfer day & plug my phone into the router. If you have a phone in another room, you can order a free adapter from EE to wirelessly connect that other phone to the router.

I'm glad you had a trouble free changer from Plusnet to EE - but what about your plusnet e-address did that change over ok? When I changed over to EE via my new 'Smart Hub 6' router my plusnet email went down the very same day, which they promised wouldn't happen - but it has.
It's not been easy trying to sort this out as Plusnet had immediately shut down my account. 'Greenby' said they can't help with this as they suspect Plusnet may have disconnected my email 'outgoing' server port? So I'm now trying to get through to Plusnet to investigate this, which so far has been quite taxing. So if I'm unable to get through to Plusnet I'll have to ask EE 'What next?''

@tamahaac Was your 'move' to EE initiated by you, or was it done on your behalf by PN? I may be wrong here, but i was under the impression that PN wouldn't move you until your email account had been moved to Greenby, and therefore be safe from closure.
@MisterW - am I making a wrong assumption here?

@jab1 I don't think you are.
I suspect @tamahaac s problem is that their email client is using relay.plus.net as the outgoing server.
Now that their plusnet account is closed, it won't authenticate
@tamahaac change your outgoing server to mail.enmail.co ( the greenby server) and use you full email address to authenticate

Thanks, @MisterW . Should the SMTP server be mail.enmail.co , though?

@tamahaac I didn't have a Plusnet email account. I learned my lesson many years ago when I had an email address with NTL, that I would never have an email account tied to an ISP again. Too much hassle of informing everyone of my change of address when I left NTL. I have a Gmail account now. Independent of any ISP.
When you say that Plusnet immediately closed down your account, do you mean that you couldn't access your account online? If you log in with your user name, rather than your email address, you might still be able to access it.

Firstly 'thanks' Radio Fox & to everyone for all input & suggestions given. I have tried all your combinatons ref' 'outgoing' server port settings - but no luck. Actually Greenby state on their website all the correct settings for all email types. I hooked up with Greenby a few months ago & all was good until the change-over 3 weeks ago. Yes I agree about having web based email instead of being reliant on ISP. I also have gmail & hotmail accounts as alternatives but prefer to use 'Outlook', so I may end up having to use a different email on there?
With ref' to my change-over to EE: As I already have a mobile contract with them, ages ago I asked them if they'd support landlines (after the change-over to full fiber) they said they would, so I said I'd be interested in changing to them in March 2027 when my Plusnet contract finished. Since that conversation I've had no comms with Plusnet or EE about changing to EE - they just did it. On 10th Aug' this year EE emailed me to say a new router was on it's way & basically to hook-up with them on the 25th -which I did. At no time did Plusnet ever inform me of this - or even asked if this is the way I wanted to go - they just did it anyway. As already mentioned on that change-over day my plusnet email went down. Incoming is fine - but Outgoing stopped sending on both webmail & (Microsoft Office) Outlook. Lastly also 'thanks' for telling me to use my username to log into my old Plusnet account (instead of my e-address) as that's worked - another thing they didn't tell me. My next move is to call the Plusnet 'Contact Team ref' my email issues & see what they have to say? Cheers, again.

Hi TFM, I have tried MisterW's suggestions along with countless other permuations, even Greenby's suggestions don't work.
After struggling to get back into my Plusnet a/c which I thought had been shut down - saw this notification stating closed Plusnet Accounts would render their IPS email service as basically decommissioned. Which is not what they advertised to customers on handing them over to their partner EE. So basically they lied - typical. See attachment (hopefully it's loaded ok...?)

@tamahaac If you can log in to the Greenby website - https://greenby.com/ , then your email account has been transferred to them, and that notice is incorrect. The server in @MisterW 's post above should enable outgoing mail, so why it doesn't is a mystery. Unfortunately, I don't use Outlook as a mail client, so am unable to advise further.

That's a standard notification that doesnt take into account the Greenby migration.
Incoming is fine - but Outgoing stopped sending on both webmail & (Microsoft Office) Outlook.
If your incoming mail is still working, then your email hasnt been decommissioned!
The problem is the outgoing server configuration needs changing to mail.enmail.co. Presonally I dont use it, but Outlook does seem to have some difficultly in accepting changed settings. Have you tried the greenby webmail (webmail.greenby.com) ?
