Just joined Plusnet - charging query

So I've just joined Plusnet, paid the first month by bank card, set up direct debit, service started this morning.

I see by looking at my account in my profile I'll be charged another month on the 16th July. So 8 days for £22.99? Seems a little unreasonable.

Did you request the 16th of the month as your billing date ?

If not, I suspect the billing date is set as the signup date.

The bill on the 16th July should be for the month in advance 16th July to 15th Aug , but with a pro-rata refund of the first month advance payment for which the service wasn't started i.e 16th June to  7th July

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Can you post a screenshot? I’d like to investigate this further. Just make sure you redact any personal info.

The first “bill” should essentially only be a statement that you’ve paid your initial fee etc so the Member Centre shouldn’t really suggest a payment will be taken.

Sorry for the late reply, I was away all day yesterday.

This has now been solved, I have been sent an updated bill, my next payment is now on the 17th August.
