Independant Static IP

Hello, given that Plusnet do not issue static IPs anymore, I have purchased one elsewhere. How do I get Plusnet to apply it to my account?

"I have purchased one elsewhere"

Can you explain that?  Have you purchased a VPN provision?  If yes then you connect via their VPN service.

Naked IP addresses are managed by the ISP / connection provider, not a third party.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Independant Static IP

The way to do this is, as @Townman says, is to set up outgoing connection using a VPN or L2TP tunnel to a host - your static IP address is then published and will use the tunnel to connect to your machine.

This should work with any ISP - even with a CGNAT connection (e.g. over mobile phone) - although some issues can be caused as some sites may refuse a connection if the VPN host has a poor reputation or a geo-location that isn't accepted.
