@Feistyferret My transfer date from Plusnet to EE was also on my billing date (20th July). I assumed it was done this way to enable a "clean" transfer of DD payments. However, just as @Townman said, exactly 20 days after my transfer date (which is today), I received an email from Plusnet headed "Your Plusnet bill is ready to view". The bill is for 96p. The dates are from 20/7/26 to 20/7/26 and are for Unlimited fibre extra £0.17 (-£0.08 discount) and Line rental £0.92 (-£0.05 discount).
I'm not sure why I've been charged as my first EE bill was for the same amount as my previous Plusnet bills. But I'm not going to quibble over 96p though. I didn't close my DD with Plusnet just in case I had a final bill (although I wasn't expecting one).
How much was your final bill? You didn't actually say what the amount was.
