Early exit fees

What would be the charge for ending an 18 month contract 8 months early?  Monthly charge is £26.99.  Thanks.

@southken Very roughly about 8x monthly fee -8%, but to get an accurate figure you need to call Customer Options on 0800 013 2632.

I suspect that this does not work on a service that uses tha PSTN, that is, if there's a current PSTN phone service. The key paragraph from https://www.plus.net/help/my-account/early-termination-charges/  is:  We then reduce the charge to take account of any costs we save because of you leaving early, such as wholesale costs. 

Currently these are twice as high as they were when the contract was taken out, see: https://www.openreach.com/news/openreach-announces-price-changes-to-encourage-digital-adoption-of-ne.... Hence the low quoted price of early termination.

It's always best to ring in and ask.

Very true. I'm just pointing out that there's quite a difference between your ball park  (monthly cost x months to end date) -8% calculation, which might be used, of £198 and the quoted £54.

I suspect that @southken had posted to get confirmation, as the quoted cancellation figure was lower than anticipated.

Thanks everyone.  I called them to confirm and they said that £54 is correct.
