Hello,
I've just decided to stay with PlusNet on broadband-only, and EE has sent me a phone adapter and is sending me an EE router.
I'll have to send them back to EE - does anyone have a label that I can attach to the parcel so I don't have to pay at the Post Office?
PlusNet have cancelled the EE order, but I've not had any confirmation of that by email.
Many Thanks,
Andy
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Is it not possible to download and print a label from the EE website, as you can from Plusnet?

Personally I either contact EE and get them to send a return label or wait until they ask for it back. Care is needed to ensure that EE records that it has been returned if you are to avoid being hassled with charges for its non return.

Hi Baldrick1,
Yes, I shall wait for EE to ask for it back, then.
The PlusNet support lady (who cancelled the EE order) told me that EE would send me a QR code, but this hasn't happened yet.

To get a free (post-paid) return label from EE for an unwanted router/broadband equipment they sent you, follow their official process.
Official way EE handles returns
When EE needs equipment back, they normally email you a QR code + printable label. Check your inbox (and spam/junk) for an email about returning kit.
If you already have the email/QR code or printable label:
- Package the router (and any accessories) securely in any suitable bag/box (you can reuse the original packaging).
- Either:
- Take the parcel to a Post Office, Royal Mail Customer Service Point, or local delivery office and show the QR code — staff will scan it and attach the prepaid label, or
- Print the label at home, stick it on (covering any old labels), and drop it at a Royal Mail parcel locker, Post Office, or Customer Service Point.
- Keep the proof of postage/receipt (it has the tracking number). Processing can take ~3 weeks; you may still get reminders for a while.
Need another label / don’t have one yet? Text 61996 and EE will send you a returns label.
If you haven’t received any label or bag
- Call EE broadband customer services on 0330 123 1105 (or freephone 0800 079 8586, option 1 for Home Broadband) and ask them to send a prepaid return bag/label.
- You can also use the contact options on the EE help pages or the community advice that repeatedly points people to the same process.
Useful tips
- Returns are free when you use EE’s label/QR code.
- Only one label/QR code per parcel (you can put multiple items in the same package if they fit).
- EE stores do not accept broadband routers/hubs — post only.
- Keep proof of postage. If EE later charges you for non-return, you can usually get a full refund by returning the kit (or showing proof) within 2 years.
