Contacting previous broadband supplier

Hi I know I'm going to sound a bit naive but I've just been contacted today 19/10/21 by my old supplier ask me to call them 10 days before switching to a new supplier witch is a bit of a problem as I join Plusnet on 25/10/21. I may have misunderstood the situation but I was under the impression that Plusnet were dealing with that side of things and I didn't need to. My contract with my old supplier has ended do I still need to contact them or will that confuse matters if Plusnet are already dealing with the situation.

Hi Chris, I've checked your order our side and you shouldn't need to contact your current provider as we'll handle the transfer. Unless there's something they'd need to speak to you about though.
