Cancelling contract

Hi, my contract is up in two months time (roughly) , do I need to inform them a month in advance that I wish to cancel, or do I have to wait till my contract renewal date? I want to end the service as soon as my contract expires so I don't get charged another month.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cancelling contract

Are you planning on changing ISP?

Re: Cancelling contract

I already have. PN was too slow with no signs of faster speeds coming soon so I decided to get back with VM and just pay both until my PN contract is up.

Re: Cancelling contract

In that case, you will need to inform them that you wish to cancel.

Re: Cancelling contract

Yes, my question was WHEN do I tell them? A month in advance or when the contract finishes?

Re: Cancelling contract

Sorry - forgot that.  I would suggest a month in advance, but you would be better seeking official advice from them.

Re: Cancelling contract

Fix

@Pedro78

If your VM service is up and running why not cancel now. You might save a couple of quid on the ETC's.

Phone the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and see what they say.

Re: Cancelling contract

So just to update , called them and after many "dropped" calls they cancelled for me with a £9 exit fee for the early disconnection (1 month)

Thanks guys.
