Thanks a lot for getting back in touch @Aa65 and I'm really sorry to see how intermittent your line has been lately. Testing the line this morning hasn't found any underlying faults with the network, though the visual radius, which I'll pop below, is showing a lot of drops, which has resulted in the line being banded, the profile now being 0.128M-16.5M Downstream, Retransmission Low - 0.128M-10M Upstream, Error Protection Off.
Going forward, are you able to remove the faceplate from your master socket, and connect your router directly into the test socket which lies behind it? Please also avoid using any extension cables in the property. We're just trying to determine where the source of the issue is.

@adam945 In message #27 of the thread you stated that there was a Major Service issue in this user's area. Has this now been resolved?

Hiya @Aa65, I'm really sorry for the continued issues with the service. I have updated your fault ticket and booked in the engineer for you.
Hiya @RealAleMadrid, the major service outage looks to have now been resolved.

Sorry, another request to calculate an early termination fee.
This one's a bit different though. First let me say I've been with Plusnet since about 2003 and never had a problem with quality of service from Plusnet. However the Openreach infrastructure where I am now is dire, and a new provider will be offering FTTP on my street soon which trounces both Openreach-based providers and Virgin. I am almost certainly going to jump over to that, but it likely won't be in service for a few months. My Plusnet contract is about to expire though, so I'm trying to work out if it's more cost effective to renew a 12m contract and cancel it after say 3 months, or just let it roll over to the higher price monthly charge. I'd work it out myself if the FAQ page weren't so vague.
Thanks

Hiya mojo_jojo,
I am sorry to hear you are looking to leave us but I do understand why.
The article here gives you more of a break down of how to work out the termination cost of cancelling early.
You will just need to change the months left on the contract and the contract cost for the possible deal you will look at.
Please get back to us if you need any further help.

That article doesn't really help though, because of the line
We deduct a value for our costs saved, for example £12 [...]
"For example" .... implies it's not always £12, so I can't ever know exactly how much until you tell me.

Cheers for getting back to us, sorry for any confusion and thanks for the feedback on that help page, I'm going to bring that up in some meetings I'm involved in about improvements to our self help pages. I've added a ticket to your account with the cancellation fee as it stands here: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=222643564

Does not matter which ISP you sign up with - unless it is Virgin or some other independent network provider - they all use the same local BT wires and service engineers.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
