(Another) Account Error - renewal not completed

I have (2nd July) renewed for another 24 months, effective from 3rd July. Previous contract was set to expire 3rd August.. Of course now my account still shows the old contract and the "error, change pending message". Is it too soon to be getting worried that the next bill will fail to recognise the renewal and charge me the out-of-contract rate; or does everything usually get magically sorted in the next bill at the end of the month?

Is it too soon to be tagging our favourite wizard @Gandalf to take a look? 😉

Hi @Gandalf 

Wow that was quick! Thanks for taking a look at this

I've received another renewal contract summary which all looks fine. There's still an error message on my account, and it's still showing the old contract dates with (slightly worryingly) the out-of-contract rate.

Is this what you would expect to see  ahead of my next billing date?

Hey Brian,

Nope, as if on cue and a throwback to the historic YouView issues on your account, the instant change I did generated a different type of error which meant the system couldn't automatically process the change. 

I flagged it up and it's been manually pushed through and I see your account has now updated. 

Could you check your Member Centre again and let me know if things look okay?
