Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a cheap phone from china: ASUS ZenFone Pegasus 4A ZB500TL Daul Back Camera Android 7.0 Unlocked
2G: GSM Band 5/8/3/2
3G: WCDMA:Band 1/2/5/8; TD-SCDMA: Band 34/39; CDMA 2000:BC0
4G: FDD-LTE :Band 1/3/5/7; TD-LTE :Band 38/39/40/41
Will this work with the PN sim card?
Sorry, I haven't a clue.
Sue

This link https://www.4g.co.uk/4g-frequencies-uk-need-know/ gives useful information as to the bands(frequencies) used by the UK operators. PN use the EE network.
That phone doesn't support LTE(4g) on Band 20. Whilst it will still work on PN since currently they don't have access to Band 20.
However Band 20 gives the best 4g coverage (since it's a lower frequency) and so, should PN get access to that band in the future, or you change to another operator which does use Band 20, you would not be able to take advantage of the better 4g coverage.

@firebird1000 whilst your link claims that the phone does support LTE Band 20, other links such as http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11750&c=asus_zenfone_pegasus_4a_dual_sim_td-lte_cn_zb500tl and the OP's first post suggest it only supports 1/3/5/7 .
This site https://www.frequencycheck.com/carrier-compatibility/09EYTJd/asus-zenfone-pegasus-4a-dual-sim-td-lte... is useful and seems to confirm a lack of Band 20 support

Thanks guys, my dopey question turned out to be informative with the very useful links.
I've gone with a Galaxy 5S It either works or it doesn't, PN sim card doesn't tie me up in a contract so I really have nothing to lose apart from a few quid.
