No text about any delay re porting?

My Port was supposed to occur yesterday but I've had no text or any info to say this is delayed and feel a bit in limbo. With all the reports of long porting delays I'm now concerned I'll lose my number.

Hi @LynnG

Really sorry to hear this.

Can you Private Message me with;

Your full name & confirmation that you are the account holder

Your full address & postcode

Your mobile number

I'll then be able to locate your account and see whats going on.

Thanks,

Re: No text about any delay re porting?

One option could be to contact your old supplier, explain that you are getting nowhere with PN and ask if its possible to cancel the port

Depends how its been messed up.

If PN have actioned the cancellation with your old supplier, then you are 'spiked until PN sort it - if ever.

If PN haven't actioned that, and your old number is still working - ring them quick.

Oh - and even cancelling the port with your old supplier may not be the end of it.

I've seen some almost unbelievable (and thats something with PN) claims that PN will not cancel your account even though they've NOT met their required obligations in the port and/or account setup,

because --- you cant cancel until they complete you account set up -

--- and you need to keep ringing to check and they have no idea what or when ... ring back again in a week or so...

Re: No text about any delay re porting?

It's just a 30 day sim...£9 pm...so no big deal if I have to return to EE. I'll just leave if I have to but it's a shame if it comes to that! Ah well. Let's see what today brings...🙄

Re: No text about any delay re porting?

I do know that PAC lasts for 30 days...so you havent yet lost your old number. I'd persevere and see what happens. Seems to be a massive issue with plusnet but you still have 24 days with this PAC number to try and get them to move it across! Good luck. I'll be sure to post if (when) mine gets sorted.

Re: No text about any delay re porting?

@stumpym4

If your old number has been cut off then its almost certain that PN have actioned that part of the port and just NOT probably provisioned you on theirs.

Perhaps worth a call to old service though just in case.

Just a reminder folks ... I wouldn't action any Pacs with PN on a Friday or any day that isnt a normal working day (Mon-Fri) next day.

That does seem to increase the already high risk of 'issues'

Ha ha! It was a Friday! Seems to prove your point! However up to this morning EE still active. Which would infer that nothing has been initiated...I'll pop my EE sim back in and see what status is currently. 👍

So you would probably be able to cancel your port via contacting EE

- hence rescuing your number should you need to.
