Re: Questions about eventually upgrading to FTTP and porting phone number to VOIP

The specifications for Yealink W70B state "DECT Standard CAT-iq2.0" compatibility which is I think is apparently a superset of basic GAP compatibility (according to Wikipedia), so in theory, my BT handsets should work at the most basic level.  In practice, who knows?!  When I get the equipment I will test this and post the results in a new thread.

Personally, I would have preferred to use Gigaset rather than Yealink, but the voip providers I am considering only sell, and more importantly, configure Yealink.  Past experience trying to configure voip equipment makes me reluctant to attempt the configuration myself.  The extra BT handsets would be convenient if I can get them to work, but they are not essential and there are plenty of Yealink handsets on offer on ebay.
