Well my phone line has now disappeared and my internet connection is still working. Just waiting for A&A to start working...

Well I got myself a Grandstream HT802V2 and configured it up as per the guide on here, then when I got the notification from A&A that the port had gone through, spent about two hours with ChatGPT trying to figure out why
- if I called in from my mobile, it seemed to be ringing on my mobile, but the phone never rang
- if I tried to call out from the analog phone, I always got a steady beep-beep-beep saying line unavailable
After checking every setting twice, and confirming on the HT802 the status of port 1 went to Ring when I called in, I then spent another while checking the analog settings to see if it was unable to talk to the phone hardware properly.
Then I realised something that ChatGPT didn't: that I'm stupid. 😁
I checked the physical connection and found that I'd plugged the phone into port 2. I don't even need 2 ports, I just got the 2 port one because it was a bit cheaper.....
Anyway, cue lots of swearing, a quick move to port 1, and hey presto, working phone line.
