My phone has no dial tone. When you phone the number it appears to ring but the house phone does not ring. Broadband speed download has dropped slightly from 74.0mbps to 64.0mbps. Upload speed has dropped from18.0mbps to 6.2mbps.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Thanks John. I will wait and see if a Plusnet member answers. If I don't here anything I will try your link. My contract is up for renewal and the speeds I am getting are the new speeds for fibre to the cabinet Broadband. Thanks for your quick reply.

@djcjuk I have found an external fault on the line and I have raised it to Openreach. It will be fixed within the next 72 hours.

@djcjuk 'I cant believe how quickly they replied.' Neither can I - it usually takes a week or more, by which time, the issue gas been solved by other means.

It has taken a week but phone line now working and broadband speeds back to normal. Open reach had to book an appointment but no visit was required as it was an external fault.
