Phone and broadband

Hi,
I ordered broadband and paid for line rental on the same day.  Broadband went active on November 10th but he phone line is going live on the 24/11/2014.
Why cant it be the same day?
It know means the 12 month contract for the phone will finish later then the broadband by 2 weeks!!!
I am sure this did not happened when I moved to plusnet before.

OFCOM rules - there is a mandatory 10 working day delay in moving the phone service
As the phone billing will be aligned with the broadband billing I suspect that the 12 month contract will be tied into the broadband dates - of course I could be wrong

We should align the billing dates once both services are active, this will happen automatically.
As oldjim has mentioned, we have to give that much notice of taking over a phone line otherwise we're breaching regulations.
