No dial tone

I have no dial tone but broadband Is ok.

When dialing the number I get about 5 bleeps and it then it cuts off.

Please look into the problem.

I have a BT engineer booked for Tuesday.

I hope they can fix the problem!

Hi @djcjuk sorry to see that your line isn't working at the moment, I'm sure the engineer will get that fixed for us and I'll make sure we follow things up with us as soon as we can after the visit.

The fault was fixed before 6am this morning, no call to the house was required. I now have a dial tone and all appears to be working OK..

Hi Adam

After my early post saying it was Ok The Open Reach engineer decided to call at the house in the the afternoon to do some checks from my end. But that proved impossible because the EE network he uses has a very poor signal in my area. He looked at an extension cable I had and he said might be causing slight problems. He asked me to unplug the extension overnight so they could run more checks over night from BTs end. That was 24 to 25th May.

I will not use the extension in until it has been replaced.

Everything working perfectly this morning.
