Newbie Interleaving question

Hi, been on plusnet pro for 6 months now, i chose the package mainly for online ps3 gaming. I have raised a ticket to have my interleaving turned off and have been told it will be completed by monday 23rd, I have read up on this forum about turning the interleaving off to get better ping times which if i have read right will improve the lag i sometimes get online gaming. Currently my ping is about 60-75, my download approx 5500 and upload 380. My question is- How do i find out if it has been turned off as i ain't got a clue? Plusnet support told me it should tell me in my router settings menu but i can't find anything about interleaving there. My router is a Belkin F5D7632-4. I'm not very computer minded so go easy on me guys!
My ticket reference number is-30847373.

Re: Newbie Interleaving question

Thanks for reply,it says -
  Version Info
  Firmware Version 6.01.06 (Jun 7 2006 20:25:29)

Not sure what all that means but says nothing about interleaving.

Hi,followed your link, i can't find that list of stats anywhere for my router, :(, i've also checked the belkin website to update my firmware and can't find my router in any list either. I'm sure theres a 2008 firmware update but can't find it anywhere.

that will change to fastpath or interleave depth 1 but most likely fastpath. there the same either way
and the fastpath hec an crc counts will start to clock errors and the interleaved ones wont.
with an atten of 4db u shouldnt get any or many errors thoe. at a guess you can touch the exchange form where your sat now  Grin i think thats the lowest atten ive seen yet and on adsl2+ you would get a nice sync increase

Just as an aside Hellboy I was very surprised when I saw your Forum name and couldn't believe someone hadn't picked it before. Smiley

Re:Newbie Interleaving question

The order to remove interleaving hasn't fully completed yet, it's due to go through at some point today (can be up until midnight).
