Fastpath

Hi just signed up to plusnet go live next week
I was wondering if my connection will be set on fastpath by default or will I have to ask for it.
I'm a big gamer so low pings are a must. Will my connection be alright for fastpath stats on sky are
Down             7712 Up 448 down
attenuation   43db up 22.5db down
noise margin 8.1db up 21db up
I got this done before I had sky with my last ISP think I lost some sync speed and had a noise margin of 15db
I'd be more than happy to lose a bit of speed for faster pings

Re: Fastpath

the setting on the DLM (dynamic line mangment) which is on BTw's side of the network will be set to auto (which basically will mean interleaving on)
raise a ticket here and request interleving be turned off https://portal.plus.net/wizard/index.html?Ea82ChdSAqqwtYJcjZV%2Fjl8BeHfnW7ogQYILXVCBFsnFyRVJeEpVZrrG...
also if your being placed on the adsl2+ prouct (21cn) you will need to ask for your upstream to be uncapped from 448kbps to see better upsync speeds
EDIT. thats what my line is happy running at on adsl2 at 50db on fastpath. http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=81129.0;attach=13412;image

Re: Fastpath

I can't get adsl2 where I am
Would it be best to wait till the DLM is finished before asking for interleaving to be turned off
Also on a different subject when I ordered my broadband it asked me when I wanted it to be switched on
options Were 4/12/9 - 7/12/9 and as soon as possible. I choose as soon as possible. It now says it'll be active
on the 8th should as soon as possible option not have been active before the 4th and is there any way to speed
up the progress
