@wohdivad

Interesting, that shows the ONT is fine and so is the cable.

So just to confirm, using the same cable to connect the ONT back to the WAN port and the link speed shows back to 100Mb ?

If that's the case , then the Hub 2 is faulty.

The ond is a Huawei Echo Life HG8240

That appears to be an ONT/router in its own right, intended for use in a business environment

Should be able to connect to it via a browser and see what is going on - if you have password access, I presume.

"root" and "admin" seem to be the given defaults for User and Password.

@pvmb

I did note that about the ONT, however the OP does not have a wired ethernet port available.

Whilst the hardware might be capable , I suspect the Openreach implementation is locked down in functionality

Re: Port 2 speed limitation — need service moved to port 1 but blocked by incomplete BT cease

Yes, confirmed

@Dan_the_Van can you see any other possibility other than a Hub 2 WAN port fault ?

Maybe I'll drop Bob a PM for his throughts

Re: Port 2 speed limitation — need service moved to port 1 but blocked by incomplete BT cease

@MisterW

I would look into the WAN socket to see if any of the pins are missing

There is no setting on this Hub to change port speeds.

It might be worth a Hub factory reset?!

Yes, worth a look with a magnifier to compare the pins on the WAN port with one of the LAN ports, checking for missing or bent pins

It might be worth a Hub factory reset?!

Worth a try if we havent already done that...

@wohdivad are you up for that ?

No change on reboot but, yes, the left pin of the WAN port looks faulty.  How can I attach a picture to show you?
