ONT Missing - New house move

Hi,

I am yet to move into my property however when attempting to setup my broadband today i noticed that the previous tenant must have taken the ONT as all that is leftover is the small wire with the green connection that goes into the wall.

My broadband is activated and would work i assume if i had the ONT to connect it to, i tried using the other openreach sockets but obviously these are different.

Is it possible to organise a new ONT via this forum or will i have to call.

Thanks,

Anthony

@nufcanth1892 For a speedier resolution, I would suggest you call.

No idea why the previous tenant would have taken the ONT - it won't work anywhere else.

Re: ONT Missing - New house move

Fix

Hey @nufcanth1892,

This issue is quite common. I have encountered several instances where the previous tenant has taken the ONT. The only solution is to contact our Technical Team. We will need to raise a fault with Openreach to arrange for an engineer to install a new one.

This cannot be done over the forums, I am afraid

Re: ONT Missing - New house move

Tell the landlord / managing agent to get it back.

If any costs arise on you for a replacement ONT they should come from the outgoing tenants deposit.

Potentially (if on the same general fibre run) they could be able to operate on your connection if you take over the 'line'.
