Re: Moving me to ee

Dont use plusnet email so that doesn't affect me.
We live in a bungalow so telephone wire goes in gable end about 2ft down from roof.im not even sure where it goes in there but comes out the other end. It's not boarded but we have movable boards up there. But noone is going to want to work up there in this heat..lol.
Can they put cable round outside of bungalow behind guttering or something.
Also our loft is 2 lofts so another brick wall to drill through.unless they use same holes as telephone wire.

Re: Moving me to ee

So long as the house isn't massive, and bearing in mind that they prefer the CSP (outside box), and entry point at ground level, the chances are that they will put the Fibre mounting point as near as possible to the current cable entry, and then drop the external cable down the outside to ground level and to the inside via a suitable external wall - bearing in mind the ONT  must be within 1m of a power point.

As said previously, all this is discussed with the installation engineer on the day, who will (usually) work with you to find a mutually acceptable solution.

@Babssybabe1973

If you get a good engineer they'll try and work with you. Get a jobsworth and they'll just want to get the job done quickly.

Running the cable round the outside just below the roof is a possibility. The loft might be usable as well. You just don't know until you speak to them on the day. Have a look at the video I sent the link for to give you an understanding of what happens on the day.

It might be the ONT has to go elsewhere (on the wall where the cable is attached to the house). Have a good thing about possible locations.

@knowdice That's good - but you have to have CF available. I'm waiting for them to get to us, then I will be switching my Zen service.
