Being on FTTP 900 I don’t often worry about speed testing but this morning for whatever reason my laptop is rather sluggish at loading pages. As a first step I tried a speed test.

It seems the previous problem with speedtest.net is back i.e. taking about 40 seconds to find its optimal server – or is it me  ?? then again other sites seem to work normally.

I use the link below it came back with a server in Kent in a few seconds.

@ PhilipHeyes curiously your link (https://interprefy.speedtestcustom.com/) consistently takes 25 seconds to find optimal server,  speedtest.net is still 40 seconds but fast.com and  https://speed.cloudflare.com/ are pretty much instant. Very odd, although we have seen this a while ago.

Not sure if its relevant but I’m on a static IP in the range 80.229.xxx.xxx

Bizarrely page loading has returned to normal.
