Re: How does it work?

Thanks, @DonnaLalek From that, it appears you already have Full Fibre installed and working. Are you currently with Plusnet, or some other ISP?

Re: How does it work?

Ah, in which case, you need to place an order on Plusnet, who will take over the connection, but they will also supply you with a new router - the Vodaphone one will need to be returned to them once your connection has switched, which is a software operation, and does not involve an engineer visit.

Re: How does it work?

They have said Iwill get a new router sent soon. Is that all that is needed? Just the router? No other boxes. I have a larger box from Vodafone too which I assume is an ONC but I don't know

That is all that is needed - you just replace the Voda router with the PN one when you are told to. I've no idea what the 'larger box' is - can you post a picture?

Re: How does it work?

@DonnaLalek

It is just a software switch on the part of OR which does not reqquire an engineer visit. These are usually quite quick.

Are you still in contract with Vodaphone as, if you are, you may incurr Early Termination Charges.

Finally, when you plug in the PN Router once your PN service goes live you need to login to th ADMIN page and change the WiFi settings (SSID and p/w) to those you aleady use - save reprogramming all WiFi devices.

Re: How does it work?

My Vodafone contract is upthe day after my activation date.

I used tried to look at my current router and equipment but I'm having work done in the house and can't get to it.

Thank you for all your responses. You chave really been very helpful
