What exactly are Plusnet charging for with the monthly quote they gave phil4? Is it an unlimited FTTPoD connection? Would the monthly price be lower if they gave the option of a data transfer cap e.g. 250GB?

I'm currently on unlimited with FTTC so suspect the very same. Wouldn't really be interested in a cap, it's not that I intended to bust way above reasoanble, just don't want to worry about it.

Looks like they're trying to manage the demand by raising the monthly charge. Within a business user's budget but unattractive to the typical middle class family who might have been tempted at £30, and who might have been able to stump up the install costs from their credit card or savings.
