FF Connection faltering

Something seems to be going wrong with my FTTP connection. On a 150Mbps service - usually very reliable.

I noticed on testing it had slowed down slightly: 140 - 145 Mbps. Then saw it slowly dropping down further. Rebooted Hub 2 router and ONT. On restart speed was around 50 Mbps, increasing to 74 Mbps. Went up to around 140 Mbps now all over the place: 44 Mbps, 46 Mbps, 57 Mbps, 78 Mbps, 40 Mbps, 77 Mbps.

Can't see anything wrong at router: WAN link speed: 1000 Mbps
Event log looks normal.

Wired or wireless, @pvmb ?

5GHz Wi-Fi. If I have to now test it wired that will be inconvenient and may take some time - will have to be tomorrow now. Sigh!

Re: FF Connection faltering

If you don't eliminate a wireless issue, I doubt PN will even try to investigate.

@jab1

Well, after a period of fiddling about including switching from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz and back again, it seems to have mysteriously settled down again at 150 Mbps. Perhaps it was suffering from the heat? Who knows?
