Change network name

I've just switched back to Plusnet from Virgin and want to set my router to have the same network details as previously existed. I have a fair few smart devices and I don't want to have to reprogramme each of them to get connected. I understand that if I change the SSID to the old details then the devices should just reconnect.
However, when I log into the router settings the network name and password are grayed out and I can't change them. Is this impossible to do?

Re: Change network name

Fix

You need to go to Advanced Settings. Ignore the security error and add your admin password. Navigate to the wireless section and change it in there.

Re: Change network name

Thanks Mark. That's what I was doing but it just wouldn't change. Tried again this morning and it worked fine.

Now I just need to get the account talking to my own router but I might give Plusnet's a wee go for a while and see if I feel the need to bother.

You just need to configure the WAN (Internet) connection for PPPoE with your Plusnet credentials

Username is <accountname>@plusdsl.net and password is the one you use to access the member centre (www.plus.net/login)
