I have had to report a fault on my 38mb set up as the line has become crackly again and the speed has dropped to 14mbs, when will BT finally start to renew the copper infrestructure as in our road the lines are about 40-45 years old?
Plusnet cannot guarantee transmission speeds on such antiquated lines.

Hi there,
I'd not focus too much on the age of the line. The conditions are what's important to your service and if as you've said this has worked fine in the past and noise is present now, that would just indicate a fault that needs to be fixed.
Replacing entire lines is a very costly and time consuming task with lots of implications and barriers involved such as the need to close roads, all of which carries lots of disruptive implications and is most likely unnecessary.
With regards to the issue in hand I'm testing the line for you now and will reply to ticket 93515948 shortly.
