When is Fibre Available?

If I put my postcode into Kitz, it says that I should connect at around 4.5 Mb on ADSL2+ and fibre is available.
If I enter my phone number as well, it says 2 Mb and no fibre.
If I enter the postcode of the people on the other side of the road, it again says that fibre is available.
I am currently connected at 5.7Mb on ADSL2+.
Can fibre be available on one side of the road, but not the other?
If it isn't available, then is there somewhere where I can see when it is?

It looks like there's quite a few cabinets in your post code.
Your on cabinet 102 which has no plans for fibre just yet I'm afraid

That would explain why the phone number makes the difference. I suppose it identifies the actual cabinet. but ...
Can fibre be available on one side of the road, but not the other?

Yes as the fibre only goes to the phone cabinet (in reality it goes to a FTTC cabinet which is within a couple of metres of your phone cabinet)
So it depends on which cabinet your phone line is connected to, not which side of a road you are on.
