The fault has been diagnosed as a fault in the copper.
The last conversation with the help desk
"test has failed and has found an Impairment in copper joint detected most likely in local network.
Indeed but at least we are still seeing the issues you are seeing are down to the Openreach part of the setup, so it's not us or yourself"
So, with my download this morning as per BT Performance Test was 1.77mb. Phone line is also noisy.
Yesterday I had dropouts streaming music.
Can anyone please help as to when this fault will be fixed?
Thanks for looking.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi there. I can see we've reported the fault over to our suppliers.
We'd expect this to be investigated within the next few days.
Our faults team will contact you when we've got more info.

Thanks Gandalf. Openreach have improved my line a little. New connections / faceplate etc.
As you can see from files attached I am still down on previous speeds. Will this readjust in the next few days?
Anything you can do to tweak settings?
Mal

There's a chance they may increase back to the previous levels but as the current speeds are within the estimates and due to your distance from the cabinet we can't push it any further

Thanks Matthew. I am pleased its back within specified limits and do understand about the line length.
With speeds so low every bit helps. At least I should be able to watch iplayer with better quality and no buffering.
Thanks
