Problem with excessive FEC reported by the router

I know that in theory it shouldn't matter but I am getting regular resynchs which normally happen when the errors are reported at about 1 million per minute and then the G.INP rtx_tx jumps along with the error seconds and the resynch happens. As shown here

Any thoughts from the Plusnet experts

Note the Router is a Billion 8800NL on a Huawei Cab
