Packet Loss Issue

I have just recently been getting a lot of packet loss when using real-time applications such as games. This has been extremely frustrating as my experiences while gaming have been hindered dramatically.
I have performed some ping tests to google.com which showed an 8% packet loss of around a total of 1000 packets which isn't that bad, however, during gaming, the packet loss is almost constant. I am constantly rubber banding during online play.
I would really appreciate it if someone at PlusNet could perform a line test to see if the problem is on my end. I am currently connected to the router via a powerline kit so this could be causing problems, but it hasn't been for the past 2 months I've had it so I don't see why it would be causing problems now.
On an unrelated note, I have also been getting random connection drops for the past few months; every now and then the router light will begin to flash orange and no longer will be connected to the internet. It will regain connection about a minute or two later.
I have included an attachment of a screenshot of WinMTR if that helps.

Hi there,
From checking your account I can see the connection drops recorded but it also looks like you might be powering the router off overnight which is something we'd advise against.
Diagnostics do show a potential line fault (Impairment in copper joint) so I'd get a fault reported over at http://faults.plus.net

The packet loss issue had gone but has now come back and internet has dropped out with the router showing orange lights more than 4 times within the past 10 minutes now. Extremely frustrating and can't do anything, been having nothing but problems since switching over. Speedtest is showing up to 8% packet loss and can be seen even higher during the use of real-time applications. Speeds have also dropped a large amount.

Hi there,
As per the below graph there, still long periods of no connection.
As per my last reply I'd refrain from powering the router off overnight, there's no benefit and it causes DLM to lower your connection profile, that in turn means slow speeds and slow speeds can mean packet loss:

How come I have been switching it off and on for the whole 6+ months that I have been using it and now the problem seems to have come back. I still think that the long periods of no connection shouldn't be affecting my internet so badly.I have only dropped from 52 to 30-40Mb and even that isn't that slow and should not contribute to the amount of packet loss that I am getting.

The packet loss and disconnection issues have been coming and going. Right now, its absolutely horrendous. Yesterday, it was totally fine. It's really inconsistent.

Hello @mkarakus,
We have checked your connection from our side and although the network outage you were affected by has been resolved, something definitely out of place as we can see you are syncing at a speed below estimates as well as a large number of drops.
Although our tests aren't picking up exactly what's causing the issue so we will have to do some troubleshooting to start ruling things out.
I'd recommend starting with basic checks here: http://goo.gl/p2tpvL
And if that doesn't help the next thing would be to rule your internal wiring out by plugging the connection into your test socket which is under the faceplate of your master socket and seeing if the drops stop. This rules out internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause. How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here:
https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242
If the problem still persists from here, please report the issue here and let us know when you've completed it.
