Re: Odd TBB test ?

I know what you mean!!!

I'd be no good on 80/20, even if PN allowed it, as the most I'll ever get is around 32 down.

But even on 40/2, I'm less than the actually lower estimate for my connection:

(Copied from My Portal) - Estimated line speed:32Mb (This may vary between 24Mb and 32.4Mb) -Current line speed:22.2 Mb

Even my PNH1 proves it's less -

Downstream: 21.82 Mbps

Yet the hub's helpdesk tab shows an impossible upload

7. Maximum data rate: 2514 / 21975

I've seen BTw speed test results as low as 6Mb this morning via Ethernet Cry

Re: Odd TBB test ?

Hi all,

With regards to the poor single thread speed tests, our supplier has identified a potential problem and changes have been made.  We would appreciate if you could all test again using TBB and get back to us if you are still experiencing issues.  It would be helpful if you can provide a tracert to identify any routing your connections have should you still see problems when testing.

Re: Odd TBB test ?

Thanks for the data. Are you seeing the same results on other speed testers and what kind of download rates do you get with the tbb test files?
We are working with tbb and bt on this using various strategies to try and determine what's happening

Re: Odd TBB test ?

@scrookes

When I reported this back on the 8th December 2016, I was seeing this result (x1 speed constant at 1Mbps)  on gateway pcn-bng01.plus.net (84.93.253.70). I swapped from that gateway and not been back since , even though I have swapped 14 times in the past 2 months!

My charts looks like @rongtw recent posted in https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/Odd-TBB-test/m-p/1414786#M56020 irrespective of gateway since swapping away from  pcn-bng01.plus.net (84.93.253.70).
