Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

It's happening again. All I want is a stable connection and I am not getting one. My pings are high again and my speed has dropped to below handback threshold.

The line just get slower once I get it where it was but then can never get full speed back.

Could someone please check if there is a problem as I do not know why this keeps happening.

The kids do not like buffering on their movies lol

Many thanks.

Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

Thanks for the reply @Beyhive

It's on a wired connection.

When my ping goes up and I'm stuck at 45Mbps normally indicates DLM is active on my connection. Last time someone cleared it for me and the time before an openreach engineer cleared it from my house.

It's just annoying that it soon slows my connection but takes so long to reset or does not reset at all and then I have to try and get help.

Thanks anyway.

Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

Hey @Simonsimps

You're still  within estimates and above the minimum guarantee speed, so there's not much we can do get that speed up presently & remote testings hasn't brought back any solid results. I can see you did have a an hour and a half of disconnection today - did you disconnect your router and then reconnect later?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes we had a powercut, that's the reason for the disconnect.

I will just have to wait and see if it sorts itself out then.

Cheers.

Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

Hello can someone check my line again please. I keep getting disconnects at 1-3am and Speed went up and dropped down again last night.

It's been fine for a while now.

Cheers.

Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

Hi @Simonsimps

I've taken a look at your account and agree that drops are occurring around 1am (which you can see on the visual here).

Having tested your line, there's nothing from our side that would be causing the fairly routine drops (other than BT maintenance but I'd be surprised if this ran four nights in a row).

Is there anything within your premises that runs on a timer that may be causing these drops? Heating, house alarm, SKY box etc?

Thanks

Dave

Re: Line acting peculiar tonight ??

Thanks for the reply Dave. No nothing like that.

Seems to be ok again now anyway, been up for 3 days nearly. I will see how it goes.

Cheers.
