Fibre speed dropped from 50Mb to 2Mb for last few days

Hi Everyone,

I was expecting a slight drop and could live with 50%, but I cannot work from home running on 2Mb. Cannot get a response from Customer Services. Line just drops after message about Covid-19 situation. Not sure how I can proceed. Any ideas gratefully received.

I see a few threads on this now, including my own but 2mbps is extreme.

How are you measuring this? Are you checking the connection speed on the router itself

Thanks for the response. It was with the BT Wholesale speed test, but I have just got hold of a network cable and realised that it is a wifi issue, not broadband connection. I think I must be getting interference from my neighbours.

Splitting the frequencies on the router has resolved it. The performance issues appear to be limited to the 5 GHz frequency.
