Do Plusnet throttle connections in the evening?
I notice a lot more buffering compared to the day time on some filesharing/streaming services.
Speedtests come back about the same as during the day but they could prioritise traffic to these sites.

That depends which package you are on, some of the older products did throttle certain types of usage at peak times.
If you are on the current 'unlimited' package, then that has no traffic throttling and all usage should run at your line speed.

That could be due to exchange congestion if BT has capacity issues.
It could also be your phone line or internal wiring being prone to increased noise during the hours of darkness, causing data errors - which would show up as reduced speed.

If they did, then someone here would have noticed by now.
